Professional development

Dr. Liao obtained her Master degree in Chemistry at Purdue University in 2004. After volunteering at a local animal shelter for a year, she decided to pursue her passion in the animal field by becoming a veterinarian.

After graduating as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Purdue University, Dr. Liao moved to Florida and worked as a small animal veterinarian. She also took on relief work at various small-animal clinics.

Dr. Liao's love for the animals is the motivation of opening CarePlus veterinary clinic. She firmly believes quality of veterinary care can also be affordable. Her experiences of working with a dermatologist also enable her to better diagnose and treat a variety of skin issues. She also believes in the importance of client education and would take her time in the exam room explaining to the clients regarding to their pets' veterinary care.

Dr. Liao has five non-human companions. She has three rescued cats and also has two small dogs: one is a yorkshire terrier that is a trouble maker; the other is a boston terrier that will give you lots of kisses. When Dr. Liao is not working, she likes to spend quality time with her five pets, cook, and clean.

Mow Mow- Our First Clinic Cat -

Careplus Veterinary Clinic adopted Mow Mow, shortly after our opening in 2014. She was brought in after a family could not keep her and was afraid she would be put down if they took her to a shelter. We quickly fell in love with those golden eyes and Mow Mow has been our clinic resident ever since. She has her own kennel area equipped with all her luxuries although she spends a lot of her time walking around the clinic when it is safe for her to do so. She may be seen daily relaxing on our lobby chairs or enjoying the view to the outside by our front windows.

Spartacus- Our Second Clinic Cat-

Meet our newest clinic cat. Spartacus was a stray who was found in our area. We took him in, gave him his vaccines, neutered him and started to look for a loving home we could adopt him out to. Little did we know how quickly he captured our hearts and made himself comfortable here in the clinic. Not to mention he gets along great with Mow Mow. This silly boy loves people, and enjoys greeting clients at the front counter. His favorite activities include: chasing his tail, eating, and playing with shiny objects.
